Overwhelmed By Information Overload?

Most of us don't have secretaries anymore. Instead, we struggle daily just to keep ourselves organized. Unfortunately, email, voice mail, faxes, laptops, PCs, cell phones, PDA's and planners make us feel like we're in a constant state of overwhelm.

Wasn't all this technology supposed to make our work easier?

  • Imagine your life if you could access all your messages including emails, voice mails and faxes from your desktop when you're in the office...from your cell / PDA when you're on the move...or from your laptop when you're traveling. Just one place to check for everything.
  • Imagine having a technology that would allow you to organize all of your emails, voice mails, faxes and other documents...and store them all in one folder, so you can easily find them, share them or store them for the future?
  • Imagine selecting the order in which you read or listen to all those messages instead of being forced to listen to them in the order they were received? (For example: You could listen to the message from your best client first and your mother–in–law last.)
  • And maybe best of all, think of all the times when people leave you one of those horrible, long, rambling messages and then, at the end, say their phone number so fast you have to replay the message over and over to try to decipher the number? Imagine if you could easily replay ONLY those last few seconds.

Now imagine your staff with access to this type of sophisticated technology...easy–to–access... totally user–friendly...simple to learn.

And finally, imagine your business enjoying improved productivity...more profit... a huge competitive advantage and a much greater quality of life.

Informative Seminar – What Every Business Owner, Manager and Executive Must Know...and IT may not tell them.

Everyone has heard of VoIP / Voice over Internet Protocol. Maybe you've heard promises of free long distance, low maintenance costs or greater flexibility. But maybe you haven't heard about the problems VoIP can create...poor voice quality, higher expenses and lost phone numbers. It is critical to work with a trusted vendor with Voice / IT experience that can conduct a network assessment to make sure you're ready for VoIP.

There is a tremendous amount of confusion about this technology, but one thing is certain – business owners, managers and executives MUST understand the benefits and challenges of VoIP or your company will be at risk.

According to Gartner, Inc., the leading information technology research company - IT will waste an estimated $100 billion over the next five years by overspending. Instead Gartner recommends investing in productivity technologies like unified communications and mobility. "Don't focus on a better network," said Gartner. "Focus on a better business."

COMMWORLD is partnering with TOSHIBA, one of the largest providers of VoIP telecom systems, to present an informative seminar to clear the confusion about VoIP and find out if it is right for your business. Save the date, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 for this important seminar. Pre-Register for this event today.

Phone Facts...

CarterPhone

Before the Supreme Court Decision in 1969 called the Carterphone Decision, everyone rented phones from the phone company. In fact, it had not been legal to own your own phones prior to that point.

The Carterphone Decision was won by Tom Carter whose business took him to the remote oil fields of Texas. Carter invented a device to connect a 2-way radio to a telephone and thus provide communication from the oil fields back to offices across the country. AT&T sued Carter claiming the Carterphone was illegal and endangered national security.

The legal battle dragged on for years and in 1969, Tom Carter finally won. This was the birth of the "Interconnect" industry. When Bob Bennett opened COMMWORLD in 1981, the industry was really just getting started. Today, we are proud to be the only Interconnect company in K.C. still offering Toshiba – the same manufacturer that we started with and with the same ownership 26 years later.
